The Crazy Challenge

Hello Crafters!

I've been off-the-grid for a week or so as I was away on holiday and would have to have fought a teenager for the laptop, and he's getting sooo big these days that I think he would have easily won!

Over at The Crazy Challenge this week we are being sponsored by Digi Doodles and you can win $10 to spend in their store.

The challenge is to use Embossing on your project, and this is what I made:

I made the card for my mum to send to Canada, as her cousin's daughter is getting married (I think the wedding was last week to be honest). She was going to pay me for it,but as she childminds for me free-of-charge I could hardly be taking money for a card now could I.

The image is from Digi Doodles 'Jr. Bride and Groom'. Aren't they so sweet. I used my Nestie to Emboss round the cut-out.

I also used my 'Dots' Cuttlebug folder to emboss some maroon CS and sanded the dots to make them stand out, before adding the foiled sentiments to the card.

So - come on over to The Crazy Challenge and have a go!! You can also add GDT after your name for a chance to be a guest designer!

Ingredients:
Image: Digi Doodles 'Jr.Bride and Groom'
Medium: Promarkers
Papers: Wild Rose Studio 'Butterfly Garden' and CS from Stash
Embellishments: Foil It and flowers, charm and brads from stash

I'd like to enter the above card in the following challenges:

Thanks for looking folks!

A Happy Ever After...

I'm back!

I had a wee bit of spare time on my hands so thought I would make a couple of challenge cards today. On doing this I have discovered that I really really NEED craft storage space!!! Although even once I have it I probably still won't be able to find what I want in my stash.

After much hunting I came across all the bits for the below wedding card, it could also be used for an anniversary card as the sentiment is quite generic (big word for a Sunday). I think I will be giving it to my mum and dad who will be 44 years married this year.

The stamped image is by Lily of the Valley and the sentiment is by Elzybell. The papers are Papermania ones that I have had for years - hence why I couldn't find them :o) The flowers are from stash and the pearls from Kaiser Scrapbook. The flower centre is a brad which was part of a huge scrapbook set from Costco, which I got for very little pennies :oD - love a bargain me!

I'd like to enter this challenge in:

Thanks for looking and for any comments

My Wee Cousins is now a Mrs

Morning from a beautiful sunny Beith.

My wee cousin got married in Montreal, Canada. I couldn't manage to go to the wedding, as much as I would have loved to as a Scottish/Greek wedding sounds like a fantastic excuse for a party! I used to babysit Nicola when she was ickle and I can't believe she's married, where did those years go (answers on a postcard please :oD)?
This is the card I made for Nic and her new hubby Tim.
The stamp is from Lily of the Valley . I just love these kiddies dressed up in wedding togs. It reminds me of when I was little, trying on my mum's wedding dress and imagining that it was my big day!
I coloured the back ground of the image with Worn Lipstick Distressing ink and coloured the image with my Promarkers. The papers are from My Minds Eye that I got as a freebie with a magazine. I added two wee flowers to the top left and bottom right corners and little pearls to the centres to finish them off.
I love this little sentiment from Elzybells which I cut out freehand and inked up with the distressing ink and mounted to match the background.

I don't know where I got this little bow from, but it's so cute I wish I could remember. I added ribbon in the same colours as the bow and mounted the bow on the bottom left of the card.
Well that's it - the newly married's are in Peru at the moment on Honeymoon. I wish them all the best for their future together and hope they end up old wrinkly married's!
