A Couple of New Blogs

Morning from a very windy West Coast of Scotland. Thought I was going to wake up to carnage, listening to the wind last night, but outside looks as if it is still in one piece, so that can only be a good thing. Sun is now trying its best to spirit away all this wild weather - bless it LOL.

There are a couple of new blogs on the go that I have been asked to DT for. The first is ATCs with Attitude. I have a vast collection of these little treasures and they are fun to make as well as a good way of getting rid of all your scrap card making bits n bobs. Pop on over to ATCs with Attitude to find out more.

The next is Fat Pages with Attitude. Fat pages are 4"x 4" creations of art, that you can either use to create a little album of art or I have been know to use a couple as card toppers from time to time. Pop over here for more info on this blog and to have a go. This is my Fat Page for the first challenge, using a Kenny K digi:

There are some great sponsors over on these blogs including Kenny K, MelJens, Dezina World, Delicious Doodles and Stitchy Bear, so come on. If you've never tried these crafts before here's your chance and you could win a lovely prize just for trying out a new craft.

I'll be back later with a couple of things that I'm off to finish just now.

See ya later

The Crazy Challenge #87 - Think Pink (Breast Cancer Awareness)

 Afternoon bloggers

Scotland has been dreich over the past few days, makes me wish I lived a bit further south.

Well what can Iexpect with winter just around the corner :)

Over at The Crazy Challenge this week we are Thinking Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are sponsored by Limited Runs Digital Stamps who have some great digis for all kinds of occassions (I have been over browsing the Halloween section - mmmm - spoookkyyyy) and they are offering 3 digis of choice to the winner. So - here's my card for the challenge and for the party over at Link Up For Pink thanks for the info Celeste:

You can buy the ribboned cupcake over at Limited Runs and the Hope ribbon on the bottom of my card is a wee freebie at the moment. I made the card using my nestie and positioned it on a fold so that when cut it formed a card. Think I need a bigger die-cutting machine now so I can use bigger nesties for making cards (well Christmas is just around the corner).

Wee close up pics of the card:

Ingredients:
Images: Limited Runs
Card: Cut with Lacey Circles Nestie
Papers: Tea House by Dovecraft
Medium: Promarkers
Embellishments: Butterfly punch, paper flowers, brads and pearls from stash, Frosted Lace Stickles & Glossy Accents

It's time for another challenge at The Crazy Challenge, you have to choose 3 colours of your choice for your creation.

This is the card I made:

I chose red, green and white, as I have about a million (okay, slight exaggeration) cards to make and I thought since it is nearly October I should maybe get my skates on :o)

The image is from The Stamping Boutique, lovely big stack of pressies. I blinged them up a bit with some gems and glamour dust.

Pop on over to the Crazy Challenge and have a go, you never know you might be the lucky prize winner.

2nd Christmas Challenge with The Crazy Challenge - No Red or Green!

Good afternoon bloggers!

I'm a v.tired blogger today. I'm a wee bit of an ACDC fan and I won tickets on Rock Radio to go to the preview of the Exhibition in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum last night. A Little Mermaid

Morning from a very wet and windy Scotland.

My thoughts go out to England and Wales today and hope that all these riots stop soon. Stay safe guys!

The below card I made for The Crazy Challege, but due to internet connection being down on holiday I didn't get it posted, but it's just too cute not to post:

The images are from Digital Delights by Loubi Lou. She has some great wee designs on there. I hand cut the 'seaweed' from some sparkly paper that I found in my stash.

I had to GD all of her scales to make her look all sparkly and underwatery, and used the same paper, but in a different colour as backing paper.

Aren't the little octopus and seahorse just sooo cute. The sentiment is also from Digital Delights, but I added some splashes and GA'd them for a bit of interest.

Ingredients:
Image: Digital Delights
Medium: Promarkers
Papers: From Stash
Embellishments: Sticky coloured dots (for bubbles), glamour dust, glossy accent.

I'd like to enter the above card in the following challenges:
Digital Tuesday Challenge 123 - I Love the Sea

The Crazy Challenge

Hello Crafters!

I've been off-the-grid for a week or so as I was away on holiday and would have to have fought a teenager for the laptop, and he's getting sooo big these days that I think he would have easily won!

Over at The Crazy Challenge this week we are being sponsored by Digi Doodles and you can win $10 to spend in their store.

The challenge is to use Embossing on your project, and this is what I made:

I made the card for my mum to send to Canada, as her cousin's daughter is getting married (I think the wedding was last week to be honest). She was going to pay me for it,but as she childminds for me free-of-charge I could hardly be taking money for a card now could I.

The image is from Digi Doodles 'Jr. Bride and Groom'. Aren't they so sweet. I used my Nestie to Emboss round the cut-out.

I also used my 'Dots' Cuttlebug folder to emboss some maroon CS and sanded the dots to make them stand out, before adding the foiled sentiments to the card.

So - come on over to The Crazy Challenge and have a go!! You can also add GDT after your name for a chance to be a guest designer!

Ingredients:
Image: Digi Doodles 'Jr.Bride and Groom'
Medium: Promarkers
Papers: Wild Rose Studio 'Butterfly Garden' and CS from Stash
Embellishments: Foil It and flowers, charm and brads from stash

I'd like to enter the above card in the following challenges:

Thanks for looking folks!

A wee girl is 1 !!

It's a bit of a dreich day here in Scotland, the sun was glorious the past few days, what happened to it :o(

I'm went to see the last instalment of Harry Potter last night, in 3D, and it was fabby, although I have to admit you still can't beat the books!

I'm also off to a 1st birthday party today, so hoping the sun will be out as Kiera (birthday girl) got a bouncy castle for her birthday from her mummy and I think my Ross will be looking for a wee shot :o) (I'd quite like a shot, but apparently I'm a bit old - dunno what they mean!!!), and a 25th Wedding Anniversary tonight (card to follow) I won't have anything else on for about 3 months now!!

This is the card I made for Kiera (no flowers on it as I didn't want her trying to eat them or anything LOL):
See - plain and simple!
Was worried about colouring Teddy Bea, but dunno why - it was a joy to colour!
And my little Foiled sentiment.

Hope the weather clears up so we can have a nice 1st birthday party in the garden!

Sunny Monday!

Well- it is trying to be sunny, wish those clouds would just move outta the way and let the sun get on with it!

My wee bit o news - wellll I have been chosen to be on The Crazy Challenge's DT! How fab is that, my first DT!! The more observant of you may have notice my wee badge on my sidebar. Am so chuffed that I was chosen :o)

The theme this week is Summertime and the below card I have made fits the theme perfectly.

This nice summery card was made using Make it Crafty digi images (7 images in all). This is the first time I have combined digistamps and it was quite fun and easy to do:

It is a huge 8 x 8 Craftwork Cards card. Might not be the last 8 x 8 I do as I seem to need more and more room to decorate on my cards these days.

This is a wee close up of all the digi images. Aren't they all so cute!

Why don't you pop on over to The Crazy Challenge and enter this weeks challenge, you can also put GDT after you name if you would like to guest design for us.

Ingredients:
Images: Make it Craft digistamps
Medium: Promarkers
Papers & CS: Dovecraft 'Sugar & Spice' and CS from stash
Embellishments: Craftworks Card Candy, Wild Orchid Flowers & ribbon from local craft shop
Sentiment: Computer generated and Foiled
