2nd post today - My wall hanging for The Geordieland Craft Meet!

Yes - it's me again. Unheard of - posting twice in the one day LOL.

Ross is now awake so this will be a quick one. Then I will be off to stop him destroying what is left of the house!

Below is a wall hanging that I have made to swap at a craft meet in Geordieland. I met some ladies through Docrafts website chat forum and this will be our 3rd meet. Cazro kindly arranges this meet, where we have breakfast and then CRAFT ALL DAY! Isn't that good. We have demos that some of the crafters organise and we get to learn lots of new things. it's on 11th September and I can't wait!

The wall hanging was made with some inspiration from Craft Stamper Magazine (for which I have a wee subscription heehee). I'm quite please with it and I hope whoever receives it at the meet will also like it too. The frame is made from mountboard and painted with acrylic paints. I then stamped a crackle effect onto it and then coloured again with alcohol inks.

The first square is a stamp from Prima Go Green Concepts. I glossy accented the dragonfly and added a dragonfly brad and a flower brad that has been coloured with alcohol inks.

The second square is a Crafty Individuals image that I coloured with distressing inks then glossy accented the flower. I then added a fragment (which is stained on the back with distresing ink). I added some glitter to the outside of the image and scraped some back off to distress it a bit. I then added some shells that I got for free from Sands of Luce beach in Stranraer (don't you just love nature).

The third square is a jolee that I found in my craft drawer. I have distressed it with distressing inks and added some gems.

The fourth square is again a Crafty Individuals image coloured witrh distressing inks and glossy accented. I then used alcohol inks on a slide mount and added some gems to the slide mount once dry. I placed the image into the slide mount and added it to the frame, then added some flowers with little gems for their centres.

The fifth square is a sentiment that has been distressed and coloured with alcohol inks. I then adherd it to the frame and adhered some gem stones to the frame (also free from nature - same place as above:oD) with silicon glue.

Last but not least, the sixth square. It again is a Craft Individuals image. I have coloured it with distressing inks and glossy accented the floer. The key is a stamp from Prima Go Green Concepts, which I have again glossy accented. I then added some gems to finish it off.
I'm really please with the way it has turned out.
I'm off now. Hope to get some time this avo to do a few crafty bits n bobs.
See you soon I hope!

Ross is 3 on 5th September - here's his card!

I can't believe that in 6 days time my youngest will be 3. It seems like yesterday I was in hospital causing chaos at his birth, involving a broken hospital bed (but that's another story).

We live in a relatively football free house. How I manage that living so near to Glasgow I'll never know. Ross is changing all that though as he loves nothing more than running about with a ball and scoring GOALS, so I had to create this card for him, I think he will love it.

I had to create the base card all by myself (ain't I clever LOL). I drew round a good old side plate then looked for a picture of a ball on the internet, saved it and opened the image then put paper to computer screen and adjusted the image to get the correct size and trace round it (I have to add that I had run out of ink for the PC and wanted to make the card NOW and not later so hence the antiquated way of doing it)
I used Jack with his Football stamp from Ladybug Crafts Ink for the image and coloured with my koh-i-noor pencils and promarkers. I made Jack dirty coz I know when my boy is playing with a ball he is never clean afterwards.
Look at his dirty wee face, so cute. I love these little stamps. I glossy accented the number 3 and the black parts of the ball, which have worked really well and it looks a bit more like a real ball (well - if you use your imagination a little)
Thought since it was his card that I should include a picture of the boy in question. This is him sitting on his dad's pride and joy, although Ross calls it his bike.
Hope you like my card. I have more creations to post so watch this space!!
Cheeri 4 now

A new card

Hello

Am on here while small child is watching a cartoon, so have relative peace for about 2 mins. I managed to create the below card today. I had stamped and coloured the image a while ago, but never had the time to finish it off.

The stamp is from Ladybug Crafts Ink - Nikki and Friends, Nikki in her bath.

I had bought Jolees years ago when I first started crafting and they were a bargain buy on e-bay, and you know how much we crafters love a bargain. Turned out they were one of those things you buy and never look at again. I must have archived what was in them somewhere in my head, as when creating this card I had a memory of slippers and a towel somewhere - lo and behold - they were included in a Jolee pack. I coloured the main image with my promarkers and added some glossy accents to the bubbles.

I tried to create bubbles with embellishments from Craftwork Cards, don't know if I'm 100% happy with them , but they look not too bad. I also added a rubber duck (after all what's a bath without a rubber duck). I had a stamp of a bottle of bubbly and matching glass. I stamped and cut out and added these to my main stamped image - nothing better than a glass of bubbly whilst bathing...

Here you can see the slippers and towel that I mentioned, I added a little bit of bling to these to set them off. I think I could easily create these from some towelling material and a little bit of imagination.

The sentiments are also by Ladybug Crafts Ink.

That's me for today. I have another card on the go, might get a chance to upload it tomorrow.
